It has been a while since we have spoken. I wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you on the 4th of July. I was at the CG base, out on my husband's flight deck of his cutter to watch the U.S.S. Constitution do her turn around and 21 gun solute, and of course during the week of The Tall Ships that came to Boston, which of course included the Barque Eagle...anyways, as all this was going on, there were hundreds of Coast Guard Auxillary boats out on patrol of our harbor, keeping everything in check and safe. I thought of you! Even though we haven't met in person, I could imagine you driving those boats, keeping people in check.
Hope your summer is well and isn't too much of a killer. The hot and humid season for Boston for the last few weeks is just starting to kick in.
The family is well. My little buddha is going to start kindergarten this September and sadly, my husband is off on another patrol for about two months in a week or so. It was so wonderful to have him home and now he is up and leaving for our country. Never does get any easier but I am so proud of him.
Well, I just wanted to drop you a late note! Hope you haven't forgotten about me.
Talk to you soon Tom!
Marisol
Your friend,
Dee
I'm really glad a friend of mine from San Antonio referred me to this site. I haven't been able to access it since I joined, as I've been busy with high school graduation, etc.
My older son just graduated and will be a basic at Lackland, then he's off to Sheppard for school. My 17 year old (graduates from HS in 2010) and already joined the Army Reserves in January. He left yesterday for basic training at Ft. Sill. He has 9 weeks there and will be back in August, just in time to start his senior year. Boy, time goes by so quick. I feel like they were just in little league yesterday.
Anyway, I'm going to stick with this awesome sight to help me through and keep me strong.
Thanks for your prayer's.
Julie Lowe

How are you? I have not forgotten you! I have been off line for sometime, working two jobs and all, being a mom and a wife, that can get tiring!
But now I am back. Miss the TS family and I told Edward and Josh that I would never leave this family.
Actually, I have been thinking of you! Everytime I mention that the Coastie's were in WWII driving the ducks, I think of you and a few others, and this coming week especially because I am going to see the COC! I am excited to see this new captain come aboard my husbands cutter.
I'll have to take pictures if possible for you.
How are things with you?
Well, I do have to get going to bed even though I my computer will be online...big day tomorrow of work.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Marisol
How are you and your family?
We are fine.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day.
I'm sure you helped make your wife's Mother's Day extra special because YOU are just that way!
I have been asked to work for the school by the new principal.
He requested that I do a 13 hour day with the kids for the competition. Which included being a chauffeur and bodyguard for the duration of the competition. I had some of the most gifted children in all of Illinois right in my vehicle. And to represent their parents was truly a great honor for me.
Everything has been signed, sealed and delivered for my FOID card!
Now I can join the women's shooting club upon receipt.
The girls are both in a speed camp where my eldest has been guaranteed a full ride scholarship to the college of her choice.Praise God!
Thank you for your time and I'm looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Your friend,
Dee
P.S. Thank you for all of your emotional support. It is greatly appreciated!

I noticed that photo of your wife and the flowers. Was that of the day you
mentioned? She IS beautiful. One can actually see the kindness in her eyes.
(About the one photo with all the fish)
Was that your personal catch for the day, or was that from a couple of people's efforts throughout the day?
Nice job,by the way!
