WELCOME TO TROOPSPACE!

Hello Patricia! Thank you for joining us here, we are glad to have you. I see you saw my 3 minutes of fame on Tampa TV-- that's great. Melanie Brooks and the whole team at the station were generous to have us on their show.

I see you have questions about how to get started, and I saw a comment on Megan Lowe's page saying you'd like to "adopt" a military family? I would follow Josh's suggestion and start a blog! Or even start a forum topic... I am sure you'll find someone pretty quickly!

Take your time with TroopSpace... you'll get the hang of it slowly but surely-- and we are always here to help!

Thanks for joining us, and

WELCOME TO THE TROOPSPACE FAMILY!

one thing you can do to express yourself is add a profile pic. then try creating a blog entry. to start a blog just look at the box in the upper-right corner (that says "Hello Patricia Hoffman"), click on the arrow to get a drop-down box, then select "Blog Post".

another thing is to create a discussion in the Forum section. you go about this the same was as a Blog post, but instead of "Blog Post" select "Discussion". then other members will jump in and share their opinions and stories as they relate to your topic. it's great!

hope this helps. if you want to know more, click on "Comment Back" and post on my page. i'll get back to ya.

Hi Josh,
Thank-you for the warm welcome and yes I did see the Tampa broadcast and my heart gravitated to this wonderful project. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to exercise my support and gratitude to our brave and dedicated heros.
Do you have any suggestions where I can get started? I'm really a "green horn" to all this. ha ha Again thanks for making me feel welcome. Fondly,Patricia

welcome to Troopspace, patricia!.

thank you for signing up and showing your support for our troops. it’s great to have you aboard. did you happen to hear or see our interview with the Tampa news channel?

just wanted to take a quick second to welcome you and point you towards some of our site's features. you can start a blog right from your "my page", you can start/read discussions in our forum, start/join a group, upload pics, videos & music, live chat & IM! all right here on Troopspace.

my name's josh, and i'm the co-founder of Troopspace along with edward domain. if you need anything or have questions, don't hesitate to contact me. ed & i created this site to get our service men & women connected to positive, supportive people from all across the world. ed & i both served in the army and are huge supporters of ALL military members. we understand the necessity of staying connected to the outside world, and that's what drove us to create Troopspace. i hope you love it as much as we do. again, welcome to the family!

Patricia,
I am a civilian too. I`ve never served in the Military. So you are not infridging in a sacred place. This Website is for everyone to join. With the intrest in the people that have or are still serving their countries. Also for the families to gain support while waiting at home for their loved ones to return & the unfortunate ones that don`t or didn`t return.
My Father served in the Australian Air Force as a Radio Instructor up till 1960. I joined the Australian Air League (Cadets, 8 - 18yrs) & became an Officer, 7 yrs ago because of one of my son`s intrest. Took up the Bugle in the league 4 yrs ago. Liked playing it so much I registered with Bugles Across America, local Funeral Homes & RSL. During the week I`m a plumbing Contractor & I reside in Australia. So I`d be more of a Forigner than any other member on this site.
Keep up the good work looking after your patience & this Website is most definatly for caring people like yourself.

I work night shift at Doctor's Hospital in Sarasota,FL and trying to stay awake last night I saw a quick last few segments about Troop Space and decided to "join up" but now I'm afraid that I'm infridging on a sacred place. I'm a 54 year old Respiratory Therapist that has never served in the military...so I'm not sure I should even be here. I just know that everytime I see a soldiar in uniform I get a lump in my throat. I've done so little and they have done so much. My favorite patients are the heros still living from WWII...I have been privaliged to enjoy so much happiness and good fortune because of what those brave and sacraficing people did without question. I never fail to thank them for what they gave me and my generation...even if they are not able to comprehend what I'm saying. I lost a fiance and a cousin in Viet Nam but as for myself I haven't served in the millitary. I would like to be a supporter of our brave men and women in uniform where ever they are serving. Even if this sight is for military and military families...I am so glad that someone has put this together. I can only imaging how comforting and useful this sight is and will continue to be. God Bless, Patricia
