Dear WWII Veterans, their Families, and Troops,

Recently, I watched a special on the Smithsonian Channel about the events on D-Day. The end of the documentary closed with Gregorian Chant and a view of the Memorial Cemetery in Normandy, France with grave markers for all of the soldiers who died on that day.

Today while my students were at P.E. they were laughing, playing kickball and having a fun time. As I looked up in the beautiful blue sky, I reflected on the fact of how that would have never been possible if it weren't for your courage, valor and sacrifice.
