Such a nice long weekend. Well, sort of. I finished another photo shoot, finished a new music video and was able to see the release of our Pentagon Channel's Command Performance! So, a bit of fun mixed with other 'stuff' :)

I know summer has just begun, but I this is my favorite time of the year - and I just want it to last forever. As we finish up our 19th song (Broken Heart), I find myself beginning to write number 20 this past weekend.

I believe you know about the story behind My Hero, right? As you know, the song ‘My Hero’ was written about a soldier I met on a plane – he lived in Seattle at the time (~1.5 years ago). My band was performing on Saturday evening and he happened to show up. Now, you have to understand that I have not had contact with him since our plane ride and have been unable to tell him that I wrote a song about him. The band and I had a great Colorado Tour this past weekend. We played live at KBUT in the Rockies then headed down to Denver to play in the Lodo district. Outside of having our video camera pinched and spending about 10 hours in the car - it was a fantastic trip. Next time, I would love to see more sunshine!
