1. How do I comment on a photo or video?
By default, anyone who is logged into a network they are a member of can comment on photos or videos uploaded to that network. If you see the "comment wall" under a photo or video, you can comment on it. Just start typing in the box underneath the photo or video you want to comment on!
2. Who can comment on my profile?
Comments to your profile appear under your My Page tab at the bottom of the middle column. Any person who belongs to the same network as you can comment on your profile on that network, and you can comment on any person's profile on any network you belong to.
You can, however, turn on comment moderation for your profile.
Go
to your My Page tab and locate the Comment Wall.
Click the "Edit" button in the header and click the "Yes - approve
comments first" option.
Click save.
You will now be able to review comments to your profile before they
are made public.
3. Can I delete a comment I make on someone's profile?
Yes, just click on the red "X" button next to the comment you want to delete.
4. Can I delete someone's comment on my profile?
Yes, just click on the red "X" button next to the comment you want to delete.
5. Who can comment on my photos and videos?
By default, anyone logged into and a member of the network can comment on your photos and videos. To change this setting, click the "My Settings" link in the right column of the page. You can choose to have anyone, just your friends, or just you comment on your photos and videos.
I just posted a comment on someone's blog. Why does it say it has to be approved?
If that person has decided to moderate comments, your comment will only show up once they have viewed and approved it.
6. Why does a blog post say comments are closed?
Members have the power to control whether or not people can comment on their posts on a Ning network. If the blogger has decided not to allow comments for a post, you will not be able to comment on it.
7. Why don't I see the comment wall under a specific blog post, photo, or video?
If you are logged into and a member of a network and don't see the comment wall for a specific blog post, photo, or video, the member who wrote the post changed the privacy setting of comments for that blog post.Posted by Tim Ferras on November 9, 2009 at 1:38am
