How about the good old scare tactics? Spray...that is new. They use to have some yuckie stuff to put on your nails so you didn't bite them but then the kids got the idea that they could wash it off! Better watch out for that one...hope it works.

I have a son who sucks his ring and middle finger, while is looks cute im afraid of it messing up his teeth...there is this spray, it's all natural, and I am starting to put it on his fingers, it tastes terrible, but they say it's going to stop him from wanting to put his fingers in his mouth!! I'll let you know how it works!!

This was what Katie wrote me when I blogged "Calling All Moms and Dads"

Don't sweat it Marisol.....those teeth are coming More…out and even if he keeps sucking his thumb....it won't really affect his teeth. Every once in a while i would catch my 22 yr old with his thumb in his mouth up until the age of 14 or so......it's a security thing and eventually he'll quit....do you ever see an adult sucking their thumb?

What an ADORABLE picture! You can see him going in for the kill!!!!

As for the thumb issue, I never had that with my girl. We took the pacifier from her at the age of 2, and that was it. Once or twice she did the thumb sucking and I told her "no" You could always try the scare tactic...I know that isn't the best solution but every now and then it works...just tell him that if he keeps sucking his thumb, it will disappear! You might want to aks the other moms and pops about what they did! But don't feel bad...I know a full grown adult who sucks their thumb every now and then, they don't do it in public but sometimes the habbit is hard to stop.

It's great to have you on this group site!

SHE IS SO ADORABLE... I HAVE A BIT OF AN ISSUE WITH MY BABY...HE IS 10 MONTHS NOW AND HAS STARTED TO BIT EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE! HE WAKES ME UP IN THE MORNING BY BITTING MY FACE! BUT THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM IS THAT HE SUCKS HIS THUMB, AT FIRST I DIDN'T VIEW IT AS A PROBLEM BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY TEETH BUT NOW HE HAS 4 AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO DAMAGE THEM!!!!

Hey Josh,

As soon as my Lil' Miss "G" learned how to walk and talk more clearly, this is what she loved to do! She would say "bye" and then claim that she was hiding in her new home.

Walking and talking is a WONDERFUL stage and even till this day, I love every minute of it!

Just a little something to show you, a glimpse of the fun things our little one's do when they start adventuring around the house!

I remember that when Gabi was 10 months old, we had to travel to Vegas for one of my brother's weddings. And when we went out there, Gabi ate all of her cheerios!!!!!!!!!!

We were doomed. This once peaceful little girl would soon turn into a little incredible hulk without her cheerios to munch on!

My cousin John said that he would go to the convenient store and pick up a box...what was only a few minutes turned into an hour, then another hour and another.

My mom and I were wondering what had ever happened to him. How hard could it be for him to find a box of cheerios?

Finally John had returned, three hours later of walking around the whole strip of Vegas which you do know, is miles and miles and more miles! He finally found a CVS pharmacy and bought a huge box of cheerios for the little one's piece of mind.

I would say give them to either the mother's homeless shelters, to organizations where the children need them or even see if the military child care can use the books? Other wise I am holding onto mine till someone needs them...another single parent or to a new family that can't afford such items.

My daughter is only 4 and I know that even when she is 40 years old, I too will be so proud of her and honored to be her mom...a love for a child is a powerful and amazing thing!

Oh, by the way miss M...that is gabi:) When we were living in San Diego
