In the spirit of Super Tuesday, I thought I would start a conversation about the biggest election for America in over 80 years......

Personally, I am voting for John McCain. I actually voted for him in the primaries in 2000, but he lost to Bush. One funny thing about the Bush- bashers is that they point out how unpopular he is-- his approval rating is 35%. But Congress' approval rating is 20%- WORSE than the President's!!!!

Anyway, I have a few personal heroes I have always admired, and John McCain is one of mine. When you listen to him answer questions, he doesn't say what he thinks people want to hear, he tells them the truth.

I feel like Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney both will say anything just to get elected. I don't trust either of them. Barack Obama talks very well and is charasmatic, but John McCain has the experience and gravitas required for the Presidency.

He has worked with Democrats and Republicans to get things done- I feel that if he wins the Presidency, our country will become stronger and more united than ever.

What do you all think? And remeber, politics can get passionate, but don't get personal and don't insult anyone.... we are all family here, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as they vote McCain!!! (LOL)

We here at the household are thinking of Clinton...

So far, her child Chelsea isn't going out, getting her self caught for under age drinking like the Bushe's children, Chelsea has been out of the spot light, making good decisions with her life, I think right there that says a lot about parenting.

Hilary already has been in the white house, right beside her husband during his presidency. I feel that she knows the in's and out's of what really goes on in the White House, she has lived and, learned from a few mistakes that she and Bill have made and will hopefully learn from it.

I also go on her answers from her interviewers that ask her more personal questions. I like the answers that she had, they seem real, they made sense since she is such a politician...

These are just some of the reasons why we might vote for her....

Plus she is a democrat as I am, as where my sweetie goes for who ever he feels is the right runner up...

We shall see what happens!

I can say this, in 2007, we finally have the first black governer here in Mass!

And now the possibility have either a woman or black president! I have to agree with Edward, it is long over due!

You are right about Chelsea- actually I think all the candiudates are probably good parents. Chelsea seems to have her head on straight, yes. McCain has two sons in the military, and one is in Iraq right now I think.

Romney and Obama are both family men as well and seem like good parents.

As for Hillary, you and I can agree to disagree ;) But it is an exciting race!!!

Also, if there is ever a picture you want to include form the Internet so you can promote your candidate (like I shamelessly did for McCain, lol) you can use the icon on the right that looks like a photo to upload photos here just like you do for your personal page!

That is an awesome picture! I just spoke to my sweetheart and I asked who he was going to vote for, it was funny, he said "Hilary" and then he continued to say, "nothing against men but for the last what, 200-300 years, men have been running the country. Lets put a woman in and see what she can do. It's about time, we need some kind of change"

Yes, I think it is important that we recognize the other parents but from a single mom point of view, I have seen Hilary do a lot for parents and moms...one time she had a convention going on and she proved child care for all the moms that came to this convention of hers! I know she might be using it for her advantage, it worked but I hope, that she has some of the same values as a mother that I have...all the good ones of course!

Plus, she stood by Bill when he had that affair, many say that she actually loved him, other's say she stayed with him for political reasons but I thought it was amazing that she still stayed by his side during that whole shit...almost like Jacqueline Kennedy. Granted they are all in the publics eye, they scrutinized if they even sneeze the wrong way! They are some strong women, I think Hilary is a hard core woman and person that might actually bring change, good change to our presidency.

As for McCain, he was actually my second choice because his sons are in the military.

As for Obama, I really didn't like his tactics about bringing Opera into the whole mix just to try to reach out to the whole black community...nothing against the idea of trying to reach out to younger genderation, reach out to the black community but I feel that Opera was the wrong person to do that. I know that Operah does a lot for various different charities around the world but mostly WOMEN watch her. Kids and teenagers could care less about her...I just think he should of picked someone more well rounded, more of a person that a majority of people could relate too...

But again, this is my opinion. That would be cool if they were the two contenders! LOL, we shall see.

I am also very curious to see if a female president will be different...us women think so differently then men at times! HAHA!

We shall see...

You know its funny, I have talked to other people that feel the exact same way you do. Again, I am no fan of Hillary Clinton, but I certainly see your point of view. One thing is for sure, she has balls of steel (pardon the pun) to be in the race at all for all the shit she takes from everyone.

I feel like people view her one of two ways: Those that like her admire her fro staying by Bill, but those that hate her think she is an opportunist for staying with him. That being said, I had no idea about providing daycare, good move on her part. And of course she did it for the votes, but ALL the candidates do it for the votes of course.

As for Obama using Oprah, well, again, I think every candidate has trotted out someone famous to support them. Hillary hasn't been shy about getting movie stars to support her-- and it seems like celebrities lean more Democratic so you see more of them supporting Democrats.

I have been watching all the debates, and it has been really fascinating to watch. For instance, last summer when I was rooting for McCain, all the news people were saying he was done, and he vaulted to the lead. SO Exciting! And as for Hillary, everyone said she couldn't be stopped, and now Barack is giving her a run for her money....

This election is definitely not boring, that's for sure! And while I am pulling for McCain, one thing that worries me is say Hillary wins the nomination and Barack becomes her Vice President candidate? Or even vice versa? Those two together would be hard to stop I think.

Interesting, interesting......

Ron Paul all the way. The only running mate not in the CFR, a true Constitutionalist who isn't afraid of the to speak the truth of our government. Our founding fathers would be very proud of this man.

I am voting for McCain as well. You know when he talks about the troops and
how he feels its through his heart. He has been their, done it and survived it
and to me that is someone who could make all the changes we need.

My mother was always a democrate but know for the first time she is voting
for a Rebublician..McCain. Seh says she says its to hard to trust politicians
but when she listens to him she knows its from the heart.
